Conveniently located in the healthcare
provider's office, clinic or home (for after-hours), the American
TeleCare® Provider
Station connects over a standard telephone line to any number of
American TeleCare Video Patient Stations (inLifeTM XP Patient Monitor and LifeView Patient Station) at a patient's residence, school,
clinic or other environment.
A clinician at the Provider Station can conduct an interactive
video and audio visit with a patient with the LifeView Patient Station at home or alternative sites outside the hospital at home or alternative sites outside the hospital. The moveable camera allows the
clinician to provide the patient with additional images, demonstrations,
or information needed for further care and treatment.
Readings from FDA approved medical
peripherals connected to the Patient Stations can be uploaded
to the Provider Station during
a video visit. Readings are not stored on the Provider Station,
but forwarded to the NX Server in encrypted form. The NX Server
can either store the measurements in its TeleChart® electronic
medical record (EMR) database, or forward the measurement data
to a third party EMR database via an industry-standard HL7 interface. |
The clinician can view the data in the NX Server's
TeleChart database through a browser window positioned next to
the video window on the Provider Station. Data flowing between
the Provider Station and the NX Server is encrypted for privacy
and security.
