American TeleCare Patient Stations are
designed for one-button activation and communicate with your health
care provider over traditional phone lines. Your health care provider
will show you how to use any additional peripheral medical devices.
Who will be able to see my medical
information?
Only health care providers and those
authorized to view your medical record will have access to any data.
Your privacy is protected. Check with your health care provider
for their specific policies and practices.
How much time will it take?
Typically it takes around 10 minutes
for monitoring, 15-20 minutes for video visits. American TeleCare
products help to eliminate travel time and time spent in waiting
rooms.
How much space does the equipment
take up?
The American TeleCare Patient Station
can easily fit on most any size desk or table and requires standard
AC plug ins and a traditional telephone connection. Telemonitors
are about the size of a large book and connect to traditional telephone
lines.
How much will it cost?
Most home health providers offer this
as part of their care plan. Check with your health care provider
(home health agency or home care provider) for more information.
